I paid for Serf circa 2020 as an unreleased product but if I recall it never actually shipped.
And since we're getting nostalgic, I went to Dallas circa 1987 to hear Bill Atkinson speak about Hypercard. The only thing I remember was in the Q&A someone asked about HC supposedly having a non-standard interface, and Atkinson asked for an example, and the questioner said that in HC you did a single-click on an icon rather than two, and Atkinson replied, "Those icons are buttons. What other kind of button would you expect to click twice?"
Traveling to another city to hear the developer of revolutionary software was the nerd's version of going to a rock concert.
